Session Information

Five Figures a Month on Apps
USA Today bestselling author and #3 Amazon bestselling author Alana Albertson gives us a behind-the-curtain look at her explosive growth in the reading apps. Explore the growing world of serial fiction and the ways that you can make money–including writing new serialized fiction as well as earning revenue on existing backlist. Her Se7en Deadly SEALs romantic thriller serial has over one million views on the Radish fiction app. She covers Radish as well as Wattpad, Kindle Vella, and more.
Earn More using Facebook Ads
Meghan Quinn is a #2 Amazon bestselling author who writes romantic comedy. She has found incredible success with her books using Facebook ads, which she does herself–despite the fact that she doesn’t consider herself a numbers person. How to make compelling ad creative, build an ad bible, advertising audiences, and creating a working campaign. She talks about scaling up with a new release as well as maintenance.
Risk & Reward: Writing Your Convictions
Join USA Today Bestselling and RITA-award winning author Kennedy Ryan in conversation with USA Today bestseller Sierra Simone discussing how creative conviction fueled Kennedy’s groundbreaking career. This discussion will include the whys and hows of writing for impact and activism in romance, as well as the concrete and actionable steps that afforded Kennedy six-figure success without compromising fearless storytelling.
Bank Over Rank
USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde coined the term Bank Over Rank, which is all about setting the right mindset for success. Then she backs that up with actionable strategies to increase sell through and backlist earning. This is a great talk to focus on earning more, stressing less, and maintaining your livelihood no matter how the Amazon algorithm changes.
My Book is a Movie or TV Show!

A LIVE panel about having your book optioned and turned into movies and TV shows, with bestselling authors K. Bromberg, Rachel Van Dyken, and BB Easton. A candid conversation so you can get the inside scoop on the highs, the lows, and the experience of seeing your books on screen!

  • Rachel Van Dyken’s book The Matchmaker’s Playbook was made by Passionflix. And her upcoming book My Summer in Seoul has been optioned for TV.
  • Sex/Life, the steamy Netflix drama based on BB Easton’s books, has been watched by 67 million households, and season 2 has been green-lit.
  • K. Bromberg’s Driven series has aired one episode and already filmed seasons 2 and 3 via Passionflix.
Launching a Breakout Series
USA Today bestselling author Janie Crouch used strategy to build a breakout series that brought her career and income to the next level. She provides a candid look at her Linear Tactical series, a 14-book romantic suspense series that grossed over $1.2 million in 3 years. We dive deep into exponential growth, advertising, and what she did to make this series different from her previous books. It’s also a great real-life look at how tracking your sales and numbers works.

One of the unique things about Romance Author Mastermind is that it’s (mostly) a single track conference. The great thing is that you don’t have to miss great sessions. And the discussion that happens with friends all uses the same starting-off point, so we can all delve deeper into the subject matter. The downside is, though, that it makes it hard to develop sessions that everyone can’t use. For example, everyone can use ads. You may choose not to, but the tools are there for you.

In the case of “Move from KU to Wide” there has been lots of interest in that topic but… what about those who are already wide? What then? So we are introducing… Choose Your Own Adventure!

This is a dual track session focusing on…
a) How to Move from KU to Wide with USA Today bestselling author Lyra Parish (one half of the Kennedy Fox duo), and
b) How to Use KU as a (Mostly) Wide Author with New York Times bestselling author Monica Murphy.
You get to choose which talk to go to!

These are both very successful authors who’ve been in the industry a long time, sold many books, and have much knowledge to share. They’re also both very candid with sharing their experiences, so I believe you can learn from both presentations regardless of your situation–but of course you get to choose your own adventure and watch the talk that applies most to you.

NOTE: Yes, the presentations are recorded so you can go back and watch both! The only thing you can’t do is attend both live Q&A sessions, since they’ll be happening concurrently.

Seven Figures in Profit using Amazon Advertising
#1 Amazon bestselling author Ivy Smoak is here to teach us about how she uses Amazon ads to make 7 figures a year. Her books have sold over 2 million copies worldwide. She walks us through how she creates ads, how she decides which ones are working and which ones aren’t, and possibly more important, how she does this while spending less time. (Note from Skye: This will be a common theme this year: earning more does not mean working more hours.)
Finding Your Audience on Amazon
Kindle Direct Publishing will be giving a talk including KDP, Kindle Vella, and Goodreads experts. Most of our talks will be in the special RAM website that you’ll get a signup for next week. But the Amazon talk will happen on their own webinar space. You can also submit your own questions when you signup:
Fun Ways to Use Kickstarter
You may heard of authors using Kickstarter to fund their first books… but you can already afford to pay for your editor and cover art. So what do you need Kickstarter for? The truth is there’s lots of different ways you can use Kickstarter to earn more revenue and even find new readers. Join bestselling authors Katee Robert and Willow Winters, who both have done recent campaigns, along with Oriana Leckert, Director of Publishing & Comics Outreach at Kickstarter, to talk about possibilities.

Kristen’s titles Motorcycle Man, The Will, and Ride Steady (which won the Reader’s Choice award from Romance Reviews) all made the final rounds for Goodreads Choice Awards in the Romance category.

Kristen, born in Gary and raised in Brownsburg, Indiana, was a fourth generation graduate of Purdue University. Since, she has lived in Denver, the West Country of England, and she now resides in Phoenix. She worked as a charity executive for eighteen years prior to beginning her independent publishing career. She now writes full-time.

Although romance is her genre, the prevailing themes running through all of Kristen’s novels are friendship, family and a strong sisterhood. To this end, and as a way to thank her readers for their support, Kristen has created the Rock Chick Nation, a series of programs that are designed to give back to her readers and promote a strong female community.

The mission of the Rock Chick Nation is to live your best life, be true to your true self, recognize your beauty, and last but definitely not least, take your sister’s back whether they’re at your side as friends and family or if they’re thousands of miles away and you don’t know who they are.

The programs of the RC Nation include Rock Chick Rendezvous, weekends Kristen organizes full of parties and get-togethers to bring the sisterhood together, Rock Chick Recharges, evenings Kristen arranges for women who have been nominated to receive a special night, and Rock Chick Rewards, an ongoing program that raises funds for nonprofit women’s organizations Kristen’s readers nominate. Kristen’s Rock Chick Rewards have donated over $169,000 to charity and this number continues to rise.

BB’s debut memoir, 44 Chapters About 4 Men, is the inspiration for the Netflix Original Series Sex/Life. Because she had so much fun writing it, she decided to give each of her four men his own backstory novel: SkinSpeedStar, and Suit

The Rain Trilogy, an epic, apocalyptic romance, is BB’s first work of fiction. Or at least, that’s what she thought when she wrote it in 2019. Then 2020 hit and all of her dystopian plot points started coming true. If you need her, she’ll be busy writing a feel-good utopian rom-com to see if that fixes everything.
